Hank Durschlag has extensive experience in the fields of healthcare, sports medicine, and sports nutrition.
Mr. Durschlag is the founder FUSE Science, Inc., [a publicly traded company engaged in the business of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical drug delivery applications], and was the developer of FUSE Technology. Prior to FUSE, Hank served as CEO of HealthSport, a developer and manufacturer of edible thin film products. He was the co-developer of the company’s electrolyte sports strips and co-authored the patent application, “Edible Film for Transmucosal Delivery of Nutritional Supplements”. He initiated the development of the company’s proprietary electrolyte strip, through his relationship with Duke University Sports Medicine, and The Mike Krzyzewski Human Performance Laboratory (The K-Lab).
In 2006, Hank was a founding partner in GlucoTec, Inc. (now Glytec), a Greenville, SC-based developer and manufacturer of software related to intravenous dosing of medications (insulin) and other fluids used to manage hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia in acute care settings.
Mr. Durschlag received a Bachelor’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Clemson University. Hank served with the United States Army, 106th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Richardson, Alaska. A native of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Hank lives in Greenville, SC with his wife, Pamela Kay (Hawkins), their son, Jonathan Maxwell and twin daughters Claire Ruth and Cayla Rose.
Dan Fuhrman has an outstanding track record of creating unprecedented growth and shareholder value for large and small companies. Early in his outstanding career, Dan worked for LEK Consulting and Bain & Company where he spent a significant amount of time in health care, medical products, and medical devices including projects such as: acquisition of a major pharmaceutical company; divestiture of respiratory therapy business unit by a national healthcare company; acquisition of an international IV pump company by a medical device manufacturer; recapitalization of a pharmaceutical drug distributor; venture capital funding of an analytical software company; and bolt-on acquisitions for a national occupational/physical therapy provider.
Mr. Fuhrman holds a Master of Science in Management degree (MBA equivalent) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He and his wife live in Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin.
Doug Strom has held management and finance positions at several large companies, including: AstroTurf, Cree, Diageo, Paterno Wines, Kraft Foods and General Foods. He has distinguished himself as a manager with a detailed approach in developing financial controls, reporting and personnel.
Doug has a demonstrated ability and success leading and managing through change and meeting business needs with practical, cost-effective solutions. His focus has been in financial controls, process improvements and system implementations.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration -Accounting and a Masters degree in Business Administration – Management Information Systems. He and his wife live in Raleigh, North Carolina.
